From the moment I saw those two pink lines...
everything changed.
My world no longer revolved around my own desires,
every decision now made with you in mind.
This love of mine has expanded beyond possible limits.
Life is much more beautiful with you in it.
I am a mother.
But now that you are older, I recall that
I am more.
I am a woman,
full of beauty
and strength
and dreams
and fire
And I must grip tightly
these things that fill me
so that you can bear witness
and reflect them back to me
Bigger, and better, and brighter
than I ever dared.
I am a mother.
And I am more.
Thank you to my beautiful clients, Tomika & her daughter Tori for sharing their relationship with me. I love watching the dynamics between mothers and daughters of any age. The laughter, the playfulness, the beneath-the-surface tension that arises as daughters approach their own womanhood, the understanding that blooms once daughters become mothers in their own right - it is all beautiful to me. There is no more lasting way to capture these moments, than through photographs. And I am honored to be a part of the process. Honor your motherhood. Recapture the joy of your womanhood. Create treasures to hold right now, that can be passed on to generations to come, later. Celebrate Mother's Day with Papillon!

Wait No More {Kim & Will's Houston Wedding}
Imaginings of the first chapter in Happily Ever After...
Daydreams of a time when a simple touch is only inches away...
Nighttime thoughts of the warmth that only a lover's arms can bring...
Long distance phone calls filled with promises of a soon-coming forever...
Wait no more.
Though Kim & Will's engagement session focused on their long-distance love, their Houston wedding was a beautiful celebration of two hearts that will never be apart again.
From the dress to the shoes, the garter to the bouquet, Kim made sure every detail had just the right amount of sparkle.
There was a quiet calm surrounding them adding to the sacredness of the day. I can only imagine the thoughts flooding their minds...wait no more.
Kim, you are absolutely gorgeous.
Kim & Will's beautiful union took place at Houston's Mt. Corinth Baptist Church. A beautiful dance signaled the beginning of the ceremony, and the lovely voice of Ms. Bee Ardoin accompanied the wedding party down the aisle.
I think Will was excited to get down to business...what do you think?
More beautiful music filled the church as the ceremony came to a close and Kim's matron of honor, Kayla took us all to church.
The sanctuary erupted in camera flashes and loving applause as the newlyweds took the first steps into their "happily ever after."
Kim & Will chose some particularly sassy ladies and handsome fellas to fill out their wedding party.
Column A Banquets in Downtown Houston exceeded their usual standard of exceptional service during Kim & Will's reception. Thanks to Supreme Kakes for such a lovely (and delicious) masterpiece.
About halfway through the celebration, Kim changed into a stunning, feather-detailed reception dress. Then Kim & Will did something that I had never before seen at a reception. They played a round of the Newlywed Game! Sitting back-to-back, each armed with one of the groom's shoes and one of the bride's shoes, they were instructed to raise the shoe of the person best fitting the question. The entire crowd laughed along with the couple as they answered questions like "who has the most patience," and "who is the better cook?" Such a cute idea.
After the game, the floor was free for guests to dance the night away.
Kim & Will, thank you for choosing me to be a part of your day. I wish you love, peace and a forever spent in each other's arms.
Live in Love,
Keda

Sweet Munchkins {LT & Aubrey Rose}
A few weeks ago, I had a little play date with a little friend and her new baby brother. Aubrey hadn't seen me since I took her photos when she was just a few months old, so while she took a little time to check me out, I grabbed a few shots of her adorable brother, LT.
Little man was sleeping so good, he hardly budged when I moved him.
How cute are his little tootsies? I couldn't help myself.
What a handsome little gentleman, he is!
I must say, his is the cutest outfit that I've seen in quite a while. A bowtie, hat and suspenders, too? I love it.
Next, it was Miss Aubrey's turn to play with me for a bit. We were having a serious discussion about Elmo...
Look at that little face! So cute.
Check out Aubrey's shoe game. There's just something about a tiny pair of sandals!
Peek-a-boo!
To Aubrey & LT: I wish you all the love your heart and hands can hold! I'm so glad I got the chance to play with you. See you soon!
